Moving On Tyne & Wear

Employer Engagement

Through mutually-beneficial relationships with employers, we unlock the potential of individuals by moving their skills and talents back towards the labour market.

Moving On Tyne & Wear help people who are unemployed because of their health get closer to work. Through our one-to-one support, we help people across the region manage their physical and mental health, access training, build their confidence, and become ready for work.

The programme’s strength is its participants. Each individual joins us voluntarily, not as a requirement from a statutory body. Ultimately, our participants are hungry individuals, determined to take a chance within the job market. They’re a diverse workforce which organisations around the region have the opportunity to tap into.

Who we work with

Our participants are aged 18+ and face physical or mental health barriers to the workplace. The businesses we work with are equally as diverse as our participants.

Through collaborative partnerships, we assign the correct individual with the correct employer through a rigorous skills-matching process. With a focus and emphasis on mutually-beneficial relationships, employers can expect hard-working individuals who deliver positive workplace contributions, be that through work experience placements or paid roles.
