The South Tyneside team work with people across the area to help them get closer to work and move past their health problems. With a vast knowledge of local services, our Navigators help people access the help they need to move forward.
Do you need help to manage your health issues?
Are you lacking confidence?
Is a health issue stopping you from working?
Would you like to learn new skills or access training?
Moving On Tyne & Wear has a team of specialist workers based in South Tyneside to support you in working towards overcoming health barriers that prevent you from achieving your goal of training, volunteering, or employment.
We will support you with creating a personal action plan which will help you to achieve your goals.
Who we work with
We can support you if:
You are a resident of South Tyneside (or Tyne and Wear)
You are aged 18+ and eligible to work in the UK
You are currently unemployed
You have a physical or mental health issue stopping you from training, volunteering, or working
We are committed to helping you to overcome the barriers that have prevented you from finding work or getting training before. We will work hard to make sure you get the support you need as quickly as possible.
How we will work together
Once you are accepted into the programme you will be assigned a Navigator, who will give you the one-to-one support you need. Your Navigator will be with you every step of the way, reviewing what help you need and ensuring you get the right support from a range of specialist services, helping you build on your strengths.
As you go through the programme, we will ask you to give us feedback so we can improve the service we offer. You could also train to become a peer mentor, offering support to other people in your situation.
