Moving On Tyne & Wear

Newcastle project

We support Newcastle residents who are unemployed due to physical or mental health issues. Our Newcastle Navigators help their participants on a one-to-one basis to develop plans for managing their health, building confidence, and taking any appropriate steps to get closer to work.

Who we work with

  • Are you a resident of Newcastle (or anywhere in Tyne & Wear)? Are physical or mental health issues keeping you out of work?
  • Are you aged 18 or over?
  • Do you have the right to work in the UK?

If so, the Moving On Tyne & Wear Newcastle team could be for you.

We are committed to helping you overcome the barriers that have prevented you from finding work or getting into training, and we will work hard to make sure you get the support you need as quickly as possible.

How we will work together

Once accepted into the programme, you will be assigned a Navigator who will provide you with one-to-one support and work with you to create an individual action plan based on your identified goals.

Your Navigator will strive to help you achieve your goals, keeping you at the centre of everything you do together. They can link you into specialist support services to build on your existing skills and help you to move on.

Please note that any benefits you are currently receiving will not be affected by engaging with our programme.
