Training Benefits for our South Tyneside Participants

Our South Tyneside team have partnered with Triage Central to provide their participants with some bespoke training and support.

Triage Central provide information, guidance and advice, skills and workplace training, apprenticeships, work preparation and supportive recruitment services that help people secure a job, progress in the workplace, and build meaningful careers.  They’re passionate about delivering excellent support and services that merit the confidence placed in them by their participants, employers, stakeholders, and partners.

Tina from Triage Central and Gail, the Senior Navigator for our South Tyneside Team have been working on creating a bespoke training opportunity for our MOTW participants.  The Occupational Studies course will take our participants 3 weeks to complete, and each week they’ll research and learn about a different occupation.  The occupations are chosen to reflect the current job market and will focus on where there are the most vacancies.  So, for example, there are currently lots of vacancies within Hospitality, Business Admin and Health & Social Care therefore these three occupations will be discussed on the first course.  The aim is to give our participants more information to help them figure out what career path they’d like to choose, but also to give those who are keen to get into these roles some further details and insider information that will boost their knowledge and strengthen their applications.

Upon completion of the course MOTW participants will be awarded a recognised Level 1 qualification which will enhance their CV.  They’ll also be given a free tablet, keyboard and mouse meaning they can job search, work on their CV and job applications, access online training and have a device that can be used for any online interviews.  Alongside the support of the MOTW Navigators this course can really enhance our participants knowledge and confidence, giving them the skills they need to move back into employment.

Courses are due to commence in January 2022 and Gail, our Senior Navigator from South Tyneside said:

“This is a great opportunity for our South Tyneside participants, it’ll add so much value to an already amazing service and I’m looking forward to working with Triage Central to support our participants and help them achieve their employment goals in 2022”
