Overcoming Psychological Trauma

FreeThe QNI’s Homeless Health Programme in partnership with Northumbria University brings you a study day and conference about Overcoming Psychological Trauma.
This event will support the work of community healthcare professionals working with people who have complex psychological trauma, and is also suitable additional learning for nursing students on this topic. Topics covered will include adverse childhood episodes, rough sleeping and mental health, complex trauma, psychologically informed environments and giving the right support in traumatic times.
Our conference and study day is free to attend and lunch is provided. The event is kindly hosted by Northumbria University.

- Dr Jai Shree Adhyaru, Team Lead, for the NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service Truma Clinic for children and young people
- Dr Suzanne Elliott, Clinical Psychologist – Homelessness, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance upon completing feedback.

Pre-event information
Cost to attend
The event is free for you to attend. The £50 cost per head for refreshments, venue and lunch is subsidised for you by the QNI and Oak Foundation. Please be sure you can attend when booking your place and give plenty of notice in the event you have to unexpectedly cancel.
Please help us – cancel your delegate place if you cannot attend. If you decide to cancel your place, please email princess.boadi@qni.org.uk as soon as you can.
By cancelling as early as you are aware, you can help others on a waiting list take up your place. By doing this, you also prevent the waste of charitable funds.
Transferring your ticket to someone else
Please email princess.boadi@qni.org.uk if you would like to transfer your ticket to someone else.
You will need to send us an email with the new delegate’s name, job title, employing organisation, telephone number, email address and any special requirements they may have, and we will make all the necessary changes. Please remember, if you make a change only a few days before the event, we will not be able to change the name on our printed materials.

Bringing your ticket to the event
There is no need for paper tickets as your name will be on the attendees’ list once you book for this event.

Speakers’ presentations
The QNI will send you the link to the PDF versions of the speakers’ presentations which will be uploaded to the QNI website a few weeks after the event (subject to permission from speakers).
Certificate of Attendance
You will receive a Certificate of Attendance via email after you have completed a short evaluation survey. We will send you a link to the survey after the event.
