Moving On Tyne & Wear is joint-funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme, which invests in local projects that tackle the root causes of poverty and promote social inclusion.
Our lead partner
Moving On Tyne & Wear is led by Mental Health Concern, one of the North East’s leading charities, which supports and cares for people with mental health issues through a wide range of services, predominantly commissioned by the NHS and local authorities.
Our supporting partner
The Northern Inclusion Consortium (NIC) is a well-established partnership of respected not-for-profit organisations that help people with complex needs in the North of England.
The combined expertise of the NIC creates a unique opportunity to encourage, motivate, and support people to address issues including health and wellbeing, housing, addictions, and criminal justice, which can often act as barriers to employment.
