Attention, parents and guardians! Are you unemployed and in need of advice, but have childcare responsibilities this summer?
Moving On Tyne & Wear and Discovery Museum have teamed up to host a special one-off Play + Invent session at the museum. In a specially designed creative space, your kids can get stuck in to a project and invent their own masterpiece out of materials provided, letting their creativity run free under the supervision of trained Discovery Museum learning staff.
In an open side-room where you can still keep an eye on your little Einsteins, Moving On Tyne & Wear staff will be on-hand to provide advice about employment support services to help you move closer to work.
Unemployed parents and guardians can bring their child along for free between 10am and 11am, then 3pm and 4pm. Kids typically take part for around one hour.
Most suitable for kids aged 5-12 but all ages welcome.
Moving On Tyne & Wear works specifically with adults who are out of work and face physical/ and/or health barriers. We provide one-to-one support to help you manage your current barriers to employment and find work that suits your needs.
